Hi Sean about £1060 return.... You will love OZ we have been here 2 years now actually we are returning to Dublin for 5 weeks next month. Can't wait then coming back again.... Gareth will look after you in the Coogee Beach hostel just watch out for the Owner Richard can be a hard ass at times but a good guy.
Make sure you check out the Bondi Beach hostel as well very different to the Coogee Beach one and less stars hope you have a light ruck sack Surfside Coogee has like 6 flights of stairs a real killer.
There are two good pubs around Coogee and head into Oxford street Darlinghurst and go to The Gaff backpacker party bar, ask for Pete he looks after most of the nights there tell him Footprints sent you and you may even get a drink or two.
Ps. We are starting a real cool travel website soon Footprints make sure you join and you will save a bit of coin on your travel and may even find a few backpackers to hook up with around the world.

hi emma and pat , thanks for geting back to me , only thing iam worrying bout is last year i went to america for a 3 week holiday and stayed 2 months over the 90 days allowed in america . will this stio me from geting a working holiday visa

Hi Sean, no it won't affect your VISA for Australia only affects if you wanted to go back to America. Don't forget you have the 2 year option for Australia now as well, which is brilliant.
There is literally tons of work out here as well so you should have no issues finding a job. Just don't get stuck in Sydney allot of people when they get here get caught up in Sydney, even if you are working the cost of Sydney is high and it can be a bit of a vicious circle.
The rest of Oz is far cheaper and in allot if cases the wages are higher as well.

yea a lot of people have told me not to spend to much time in sydney as its a bit mad , to much things happen , i play football and been in contact with a guy who runs a football team in perth so going to spend a lot of time there as h wants us to work in his warhouse ,

Hi Sean o Murchu, Oz Intro is a pretty good and easy way to start your backpacking trip in Oz, yes they sort your passport and you get to stay in two great hostels located at Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach, Surfside Backpackers...
For the first couple of weeks you are taken around some cool sites around Sydney and the whole experience is a great way to meet a few new backpacker like yourself.
